PlayboxTV has appointed Tariq Malik as its Chief Business Officer. Malik announced the development in a post on LinkedIn. He brings over two decades of experience in the media and telecom sectors.
At PlayboxTV, Malik will focus on strengthening the platform’s business growth and expanding partnerships across the digital entertainment ecosystem.
Commenting on his new role, Malik said, “India today is one of the most exciting streaming markets in the world. With the rapid expansion of OTT platforms, the next big challenge for consumers is not lack of content , it is discoverability, accessibility and aggregation. That is where platforms like PlayboxTV become incredibly relevant.”
“I look forward to working with the team, partners and industry stakeholders as we continue building solutions that make digital entertainment simpler and more accessible for audiences,” Malik added.
Before joining PlayboxTV, Malik served as Vice President at HT Media Group. Earlier in his career, he worked with organisations such as DEN Networks Limited, Hathway Cable & Datacom Ltd and Bajaj Allianz Life Insurance.
