Sunil Bharti Mittal reappointed Bharti Airtel Chairman for five more years

Bharti Airtel Limited has approved the reappointment of Sunil Bharti Mittal as Chairman of the company for a further term of five years from 1 October 2026, subject to shareholders’ approval.
The decision was taken by the company’s board at its meeting held on 13 May, following the recommendation of the HR and Nomination Committee. Mittal’s current term as chairman is due to end on 30 September.
Separately, the board also approved the reappointment of Nisaba Godrej as an Independent Director for a second term of five years from 4 August, subject to shareholders’ approval.
Bharti Airtel said both appointments comply with SEBI regulations and that neither director is barred from holding office by any regulatory authority.
