Senior journalist Pratima Sharma is set to begin a new career with the Hindustan Times group. Reliable sources indicate that she will soon take up her duties as editor of Hindustan's news website, livehindustan.com.
Pratima Sharma has been associated with the Network18 group for a long time and is currently serving as the editor of the group's business news website, Moneycontrol - Hindi.
Prabhash Jha, who was handling the group's websites in other languages including livehindustan.com as editor, resigned from here about three months ago and joined the Times Group. Since then, this post was vacant and the names of many senior journalists were being discussed in the media circles for appointment here. But now the news is that Binoy Prabhakar, Chief Content Officer of Hindustan Times (Digital), has given the green signal to the name of Pratima Sharma for this post. It is worth noting that Binoy Prabhakar has also served his responsibilities in the Network18 group for a long time.
Pratima Sharma has over 17 years of experience in digital and print media. She specializes in content planning, editing, and team management. She has previously worked at prestigious media outlets such as Amar Ujala and The Economic Times (Hindi).
Pratima Sharma, a graduate of Patna Women's College, holds a postgraduate degree in history from Delhi University. She also holds a PG Diploma in print journalism from the YMCA in Delhi.
