Nirnay Bhattacharya takes over as Editor of News18Bangla.com

Nirnay Bhattacharya has taken on a new role at Network18 Media & Investments Limited. He has begun his new role as editor of the company's news platform, News18Bangla.com. Nirnay Bhattacharya shared this information in a post on the social media platform LinkedIn.

In his post, he wrote that a new chapter is beginning. He expressed his joy at starting a new innings with Network18 and his excitement about new challenges, new conversations, and new possibilities.

Prior to Network18, Nirnay Bhattacharya was with Associated Broadcasting Co. Pvt Ltd (TV9) for nearly six years. From April 2023 to August 2026, he served as Editor of TV9 Bangla Digital. During this time, he led digital editorial strategy and newsroom operations.

He will also hold the additional responsibility of TV9 Bangla Digital along with TV9 Assamese Digital from December 2024 to January 2026. Prior to this, he served as Deputy Editor at TV9 Bangla from September 2020 to April 2023. He was part of the initial core team at TV9 Bangla, overseeing digital rollout, news planning, SEO-based content pipeline, social media strategy, and digital-broadcast integration.

Prior to TV9, Nirnay Bhattacharya served as Senior Content Officer, The Indian Express Bangla Digital at The Indian Express from October 2018 to September 2020. Prior to this, he held the position of Head of Zee 24 Ghanta Digital at Zee Media from 2017 to October 2018.

From May 2016 to March 2017, he served as a Senior Copywriter (News) at Zee Media. From July 2012 to May 2016, he worked as an executive at the ABP Group. Nirnay Bhattacharya graduated from the University of Calcutta. He also holds a postgraduate degree in Journalism and Mass Communication from Netaji Subhas Open University.
