Republic Media Network's Mayukh Ranjan Ghosh has stepped down as Senior Editor and Head of Input, Senior Anchor - Republic Bangla.

Ghosh was associated with Republic Media for nearly 5 years.

He was earlier with News18 Bangla for a brief stint, joining after 4 years with Times Network.

Ghosh has also worked with ABP News and Star News, holding overall 14 years of experience as prime-time anchor, news editor, manager and content creator.

Sharing the update, Ghose wrote in a social media post:

Every meaningful journey eventually reaches a point where it must come to an end—not because something is wrong, but because something new is calling.

After six extraordinary years at Republic, I have decided to conclude my journey with the organization.

2021 onwards I was on a roller coaster ride.

A Mission to save Bengali Hindus, a crusade to fight for nationalism. I have learned, evolved, stumbled, recovered, and grown as a Media Professional.

Yet there comes a time when one feels an irresistible urge to build something of one's own.

I have reached that point.

I now wish to embark on a new journey.

I may disrupt the whole market, I may fail spectacularly. I may incur losses. I may face setbacks. But I am not afraid of uncertainty.

I have looked mortality in the eye before and returned stronger. I fear saturation more than risk.

Quoting the Joker from The Dark Knight:

"In an age of anarchy, you have to be an agent of chaos." The line stayed with me.

I have always believed that growth often begins where comfort ends.

I will be taking a brief sabbatical and travelling for some time. And then, after some distance and some reflection, Mayukh will return.

Perhaps successful. Perhaps bruised.

Perhaps wiser. But never erased.
