Delhi Press, home to iconic brands including The Caravan, Champak, Grihshobha, Motoring World, Sarita, and Manohar Kahaniyan, today announced a strategic reorganisation and the appointment of Shailesh Srivastava as Chief Operating Officer. The move supports an ambitious growth programme focused on advertising revenue, events IP, content monetisation and the revival of the magazine business.

“With a rich legacy across print and digital storytelling, Delhi Press is accelerating its transformation into a multi-vertical content and experiences company,” said Anant Nath, Executive Publisher.

Besides a portfolio of 31 magazines across 9 languages, the publishing house runs a suite of 9 websites and associated social media channels. Over the past few years, it has also built a rapidly expanding events vertical, currently running 30 - 35 events annually, with an ambitious roadmap to scale to 70+ events. These range from awards for women achievers - Inspire, homemaker conclaves - EmpowerHer, progressive farmer recognitions - Farm n Food Krishi Samman, regional cinema awards - Saras Salil Bhojpuri Cine Awards, and automotive industry felicitations - Motoring World Green Awards, and Auto Awards, to experiential workshops and reader activations built around our magazine brands.

Nath added "We are in a phase of exciting transformation, investing in digital infrastructure, branded content, creator partnerships, and immersive brand experiences. Shailesh’s deep experience in scaling media businesses, monetising IP and building high-impact events makes him the ideal leader to steer this next phase.”

Shailesh Srivastava joins Delhi Press from Reliance Broadcast Network Limited, where he served as Business Head for 8 years and earned a reputation as a turnaround specialist. During his tenure he catalysed rapid growth in event IP, expanded revenues from emerging non-metro markets, and led several content-first initiatives and strategic government engagements. His earlier leadership roles span BFSI, telecom and hospitality sectors in leadership roles.

“Content is the company’s core asset; events and IP are its growth engines”, said Shailesh Srivastava. “I look forward to working with the team to deepen audience engagement and build scalable revenue streams.

Shailesh’s appointment follows appointment of other senior leaders in management. In 2024, Bimal Pant was appointed the National Head - Reader Revenues, with a focus on building subscriptions and revamping agency lead distribution. Bimal has earlier had a career long stint at Times of India, where he last served as General Manager RMD.

In 2025, Shivank Sidhu joined as Strategic Consultant - Brand Marketing, wherein he is leading the group’s various brand marketing efforts, including events and new IPs. Shivank has earlier had a wide ranging career across Times of India, Lintas, TVS, Jawa, and an earlier stint at Delhi Press.

In recent years, the group has managed a significant turnaround in reader revenues with a strong pivot towards subscriptions. With a multi layered approach - strong online marketing, scaling up of tele-sales marketing, bulk partnerships with governments, schools and colleges, partnerships with quick commerce and e-commerce, e-magazine partnership with a suite of digital aggregators, and a revamp of subscriptions delivery systems - today the reader revenues have far surpassed pre-Covid numbers. The revenue mix has shifted from just 5% of subscriptions, to more than 65% from subscriptions, and a 500% growth in subscription revenues.

Nath added, “Our publishing efforts across magazine brands are geared towards nurturing highly engaged and involved community of readers, who are emotionally invested in the brand they are consuming, and are willing to pay premium monies for our content and experiences. Magazine content is expensive to produce and we therefore charge the premium it deserves. Our endeavour is to reach out to them at their convenience by way of improved logistics, digital channels, and through our live events. And we hope to create compelling partnerships with marketers to engage with these highly involved readers in a deep and meaningful manner”.
