Marico’s Milind Barve to retire as Independent Director

Marico has announced that Independent Director Milind Barve will retire effective August 1, 2026, after deciding not to seek reappointment due to persistent health issues. In a regulatory filing, Marico said Barve informed the board that he intends to focus on his recovery after the completion of his current term.
With effect from the end of the day on 1 August 2026, Barve shall cease to be the Lead Independent Director, Chairman of the Audit Committee, Risk Management Committee and Stakeholders Relationship Committee, and a Member of Corporate Social Responsibility Committee.
Following his retirement, Marico has approved changes to its board committee leadership. Independent Director Girish Paranjpe has been appointed Chairman of the Audit Committee and Risk Management Committee with effect from 2 August.
The company has also appointed Independent Director Apurva Purohit as Chairperson of the Stakeholders Relationship Committee, effective 2 August.
