  • Godrej Consumer Products Limited (GCPL) has reappointed Sudhir Sitapati as Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer for a five-year term starting on October 18, 2026.
  • Sitapati has been leading GCPL since 2021 and is responsible for the company's strategic direction and business transformation.
  • He also serves as Chair of the FMCG Committee at the Confederation of Indian Industry and has extensive experience from over two decades at Unilever.
  • Nadir Godrej will retire from GCPL's Board as a Non-Executive Non-Independent Director effective August 7, 2026.

Godrej Consumer Products Limited (GCPL) has announced significant leadership changes via a regulatory filing. The Board of Directors has approved the reappointment of Sudhir Sitapati as Managing Director (MD) and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) for a further term of five years commencing on 18 October 2026.

Sitapati has been serving as MD & CEO of GCPL since 2021 and currently leads the company’s strategic direction and business transformation agenda. Apart from his role at GCPL, Sitapati currently serves as Chair of the FMCG Committee at the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII). He has also previously co-chaired the industry body’s National Committee on Food Processing.

Before joining GCPL, Sitapati spent more than two decades at Unilever, handling leadership roles across India, Europe, Southeast Asia, and Africa. His last role was as Executive Director – Foods and Refreshments at Hindustan Unilever.

GCPL also announced that Nadir Godrej will retire from the company’s Board as Non-Executive Non-Independent Director with effect from 7 August 2026.
