Sushant Sreeram has been appointed to head marketing at the newly formed Reliance Industries-Disney Star joint venture (RIL-Disney JV), taking on a pivotal role in shaping the marketing strategy for the combined entity.
This announcement comes just months after Sreeram joined Viacom18 as Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) in September 2023. At Viacom18, he was responsible for overseeing marketing at JioCinema, the company’s digital streaming platform.
Before his brief tenure at Viacom18, Sreeram had a distinguished career at Amazon, where he spent over six years, most notably as the Country Director for Prime Video India.
During his time at Amazon, Sreeram held various leadership roles, including Head of Customer & Brand Marketing and Director of Marketing. In his capacity as the leader of Amazon’s Subscription Video On Demand (SVOD) business, he was tasked with growing and engaging Prime Video’s subscriber base, driving acquisition and retention strategies for both business-to-business (B2B) and business-to-consumer (B2C) segments.
Sreeram’s career also includes significant experience in brand management, having led marketing at Xiaomi India, where he was responsible for elevating the brand's visibility and reach in a highly competitive market.
Prior to that, he worked at companies like HolidayIQ.com, eBay, Inkfruit.com, and Hindustan Unilever, where he honed his skills in consumer insights, digital marketing, and brand strategy.
