Senior journalist Dinesh Sharma has stepped down from his role at Living India News, marking the end of his tenure with the Punjab-based news channel owned by BPL Media Ltd. Sharma had joined the network about six months ago as CEO and Managing Editor.

In this dual role, Sharma was responsible for both the editorial direction and the business operations of the channel. Speaking to Samachar4Media, Sharma confirmed his resignation and said that his experience at Living India News had been “very rewarding.”

Sharma also mentioned that he would soon announce his next professional move.

With over 27 years of experience in the news broadcasting industry, Sharma has worked with several leading media organisations. Before joining Living India News, he served as Consulting Editor at News24. Earlier, he held the position of Managing Editor (Digital and Social Media) at Dainik Savera Group in Punjab.

Sharma has also had a long association with Zee Media, where he launched Zee Delhi-NCR-Haryana in April 2022 as Channel Head and Editor. Between 2014 and 2019, he served as Editor of Zee Punjab, Haryana and Himachal.

He began his journalism career in 1998 with Zee News as a reporter and has since worked with several prominent media houses, including Voice of America, Al Jazeera, NewsX, Voice of India, The Statesman, The Indian Express and Press Trust of India. Known for his popular talk show Direct with Dinesh, Sharma also anchored the daily news show Ground Zero.
