Rajasthan Patrika gets MIB nod for news channel
The news channel has been christened Patrika TV Rajasthan. The Modi Govt has also cleared the licences for MCCS' Punjabi news channel ABP Sanjha and spirituality-based channel Peace of Mind owned by God Media

Rajasthan Patrika is gearing up to launch its news channel, christened Patrika TV Rajasthan, after getting the licence to operate the channel from the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting (MIB).
Rajasthan Patrika already has a cable news channel, besides it had earlier forayed into the television space with a cable TV network. The group also has presence in the FM radio space with Tadka FM, which operates in Jaipur, Udaipur, Kota and in Raipur.
Meanwhile, the Modi Government has cleared the licences for two more channels. MCCS has got the licence from the MIB for its Punjabi news channel ABP Sanjha. The other channel to get the licence is spirituality-based channel Peace of Mind owned by God Media.
Rajasthan Patrika is the latest print player to foray into the news television space. ABP Group has three channels – ABP Ananda, ABP Majha, ABP News; Lokmat has IBN-Lokmat; Sandesh has Sandesh News; Gujarat Samachar has GSTV News; Dina Thanthi has Thanthi TV; Andhra Jyothi has ABN Andhra Jyothi; Sakshi Group has Sakshi TV; Malayalam language publications Malayala Manorama and Mathrubhumi, too, run news channels.
