Prasar Bharati invites claims from players, stakeholders for IP rights
The pubcaster has clarified that if no claims are received, Prasar Bharati will be the "absolute owner of the Intellectual Property Rights / Copyrights over the media assets"

Prasar Bharati has invited claims from players and stakeholders who have ever been associated with Doordarshan during production and telecast of certain programmes in connection with intellectual property rights.
The stakeholders are required to submit the claims within 45 days, states a notice issued by Prasar Bharati.
The pubcaster has also clarified that if no claims are received for a certain programme Prasar Bharati will be the "absolute owner of the Intellectual Property Rights / Copyrights over the media assets under circulation.
Prasar Bharati can in such cases also use these programmes "as per the requirement to broadcast on linear TV or on any digital platform or syndicate to other media houses".
