Govt invites applications for posts in Prasar Bharati board

The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting has invited applications for two key positions on the Prasar Bharati Board — Member (Personnel) and Member (Finance).

These are senior-level appointments carrying the pay and rank of Additional Secretary to the Government of India, under Level-15 of the 7th Pay Commission, said a government notification.

According to the document, if applicants are from public sector enterprises, they must be officers equivalent to the level of Additional Secretary or Senior Joint Secretary to the Government of India.

They should be currently serving in reputed Public Sector Enterprises, Autonomous Bodies, or Statutory Organisations.

“Preference will be given to candidates holding an MBA qualification in Personnel Management. The applicant must also have adequate post-qualification experience at a senior level of management in a large and reputed organization,” it said.

For applicants from the private sector, “The applicant should be a graduate from a recognized university or institution with a good academic record. Preference will be given to those who possess an MBA qualification in Personnel Management. The candidate must have substantial post-qualification experience at a senior level of management in a large and reputable organization.”

The last date to submit applications is July 12, 2025.

Candidates who had earlier applied in response to the recruitment notice published in the Employment News between November 25 and December 1, 2023, and are still eligible, are required to apply again if interested, the notification said.
