In a move aimed at enhancing operational efficiency and editorial coordination, the India Today Group has announced a structural update in its Input operations. The team of Shekhar, Seema and Partha , described as “the terrific triple engine of our Input news turbine”, will now report to Supriya Prasad in the interim period.
Supriya, a senior editorial leader and a key pillar of the newsroom, was referred to as the “neev ka patthar (foundation stone)” in an internal message from Kalli Purie, Vice Chairperson of the India Today Group. Praising his “unbeatable winning spirit,” Purie expressed confidence that the new structure will lead to closer coordination and greater efficiency across the network.
The editorial shift aligns with the Group’s broader transition toward AI-driven workflows, a priority as media organizations globally adapt to a more automated, tech-enabled future. “We have always been known to be nimble,” noted Purie, “and I think this is the need of the hour.”
