Kamlesh Kishore Singh, who took Sabbatical from India Today Group last year, has re-joined the group.

Singh, who had taken a sabbatical to “check in with himself,” never really left the creative sphere. Even during his time away, he continued to contribute significantly by mentoring the team at Lallantop and recording the popular podcast Teen Taal, which recently celebrated its 200th episode.

Welcoming him back, Kalli Purie described Kamlesh’s comeback as a natural fit for the newsroom's dynamic energy. “News at the India Today Group is an addiction for sure!” she quipped in the email addressed to all staff.

The return also marks the continuation of his stellar 16-year journey with the group, a testament to his editorial impact, storytelling acumen and unwavering commitment to digital transformation.

Purie also highlighted the synergy between Kamlesh and his long-time colleague Venkat, calling their professional chemistry “one of the best” she has witnessed. “This is a lethal combo,” she added, referring to their collaboration and its potential to supercharge the Group’s digital properties and AI-driven initiatives.

In a light-hearted sign-off, Purie wrote, “The Unfarewell party is due! Welcome back, we didn’t miss you at all!"
