Supriya Prasad, has been appointed as the News Director of Aaj Tak, India Today TV, and Good News Today (GNT), further solidifying his leadership within the India Today Group.
Having joined the India Today Group in 1995, Prasad's journey has been marked by significant milestones. After an initial 12-year tenure, he briefly departed to launch News24 before returning to the group in 2011. His leadership has been instrumental in maintaining Aaj Tak's position as a leading Hindi news channel.
In recognition of his editorial excellence, Prasad was honored with the 'ENBA Editorial Maverick of the Year 2023' award at the 16th edition of the Exchange4Media News Broadcasting Awards. This accolade reflects his innovative approach to news broadcasting and his commitment to journalistic integrity.
Beyond his responsibilities within the India Today Group, Prasad has also contributed to the broader media industry. In 2017, he was elected as the President of the Broadcast Editors Association (BEA), the apex body representing editors of national and regional television news channels across India.
