Colors pips Sony Pal to be among top three channels in overall market: BARC Week 29

Star Plus climbs up to the second position in the Urban market. It was on the third slot last week.

Zee Anmol continued to lead the overall market in Week 29. The channel recorded 715 million impressions, followed by Zee TV on the second slot with 612 million impressions. Colors replaced Sony Pal to grab the third position and registered 608 million impressions, as per Broadcast Audience Research Council (BARC) India.

Colors’ Naagin-3 led the list of top five programmes with 15.4 million impressions, followed by Zee TV’s Kundali Bhagya on the second slot with 13.2 million impressions and Kumkum Bhagya on the third spot with 12.2 million impressions. Zee Anmol’s Kumkum Bhagya stood on the fourth position with 10.7 million impressions and Ishq Subhan Allah on Zee TV bagged the fifth position with 9.5 million impression

Hindi GEC Urban

Colors led the Urban GEC market in Week 29 with 418 million impressions, followed by Star Plus on the second slot with 373 million impressions and Zee TV on the third spot with 361 million impressions. Sab TV and Sony Entertainment Television grabbed the fourth and fifth spots with 341 and 330 million impressions, respectively.

Naagin-3 on Colors continued to be the leader in top five programmes in the Urban market as well. The show garnered 9.9 million impressions, followed by Zee TV’s Kundali Bhagya and Kumkum Bhagya on the second and third spot with 7.7 and 7.2 million impressions, respectively. Sab TV’s Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashma stood on number four with 6.4 million impressions and Colors’ Dance Deewane entered the list of top five programmes again with 6.4 million impressions.

Hindi GEC Rural

Zee Anmol continued to lead the Rural market with 559 million impressions followed by Star Utsav on the second slot with 405 million impressions and Sony Pal on the third spot with 405 million impressions. Rishtey and Star Bharat stood on the fourth and fifth slots with 337 million impressions and 305 million impressions, respectively.

Zee Anmol’s Kumkum Bhagya bagged the first spot in the list of top five programmes of the week with 8.8 million impressions, followed by Sony Pal’s Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashma on the same channel on number two with 6.4 million impressions. Zee Anmol’s Mahek bagged the third spot with 6.3 million impressions followed by Naagin 3 on the fourth slot with 5.5 million impressions.
