Ajit Andhare will head the combined studio business at JioStar, the joint venture between Reliance Industries Limited, Viacom18 Media, and The Walt Disney Company. He will be responsible for streamlining the production and distribution across the joint venture’s entertainment venues.
Andhare will be a part of the team led by Alok Jain, who will head the entertainment cluster for the Reliance-Disney joint venture.
In his stint with Viacom18 Media Private Limited, Andhare held the position of Chief Operating Officer at Viacom18 Studios for over 6 years and Chief Operating Officer at Viacom18 Motion Pictures for over 5 years before that.
Prior to taking up leadership roles at Viacom18, he held several positions at Unilever, including Regional Brand Activation Director APAC, Sr Brand Manager, Senior Area Sales & Customer Manager, Senior Business & Operations Manager and Engineering Manager.
With a strong track record of delivering impact through growth and thought leadership across consumer businesses, broadcast media video production & entertainment, Andhare is skilled in business strategy, creative content creation, integrated marketing and sales management. He is an alumnus of the Indian School of Business and the National Institute of Technology Rourkela.
