The Ministry of Information & Broadcasting has approved the publication of Indian edition of ‘Fortune’ magazine under the title ‘Fortune India’, dealing with news and current affairs, by Business Media Pvt Ltd.

The Ministry of Information & Broadcasting has approved the publication of Indian edition of ‘Fortune’ magazine under the title ‘Fortune India’, dealing with news and current affairs, by Business Media Pvt Ltd. Prior to this, ‘Spectator India’ and ‘Forbes India’ had also been permitted by the Ministry for publication in India.

Published by Time Inc’s Fortune Money Group, ‘Fortune’ is a global business magazine known especially for its annual features ranking companies by revenue. Founded by Henry Luce in 1930, the Group’s publishing business consists of ‘Time’, ‘Life’, ‘Fortune’, and ‘Sports Illustrated’. ‘Fortune’s primary competitors in the national business magazine category include ‘Forbes’ and ‘BusinessWeek’. cnnmoney.com is the online home of ‘Fortune’, in addition to Money and Fortune Small Business.
