IRS 2011 Q2 Readership growth for top players; Jagran, Bhaskar & Hindustan are top three publications

MRUC and Hansa Research have released the Indian Readership Survey data for Q2 of 2011. Eight of the top 10 players have registered growth in readership. There are no changes in the top order. Dainik Jagran continues to be the highest read daily followed by Dainik Bhaskar, Hindustan, Malayala Manorama and Amar Ujala. Once again, The Times of India is the only English publication in the top 10 dailies.

IRS 2011 Q2 Readership growth for top players; Jagran, Bhaskar & Hindustan are top three publications

Media Research Users Council (MRUC) and Hansa Research have released the Indian Readership Survey data for Q2 of 2011. Eight of the top 10 players have registered growth in readership. There are no changes in the top order.

Dainik Jagran with an average issue readership (AIR) of 16,393,000 continues to be the highest read daily followed by Dainik Bhaskar which has a readership of 14,174,000. Hindustan takes the number three spot with a readership of 11,985,000. Malayala Manorama and Amar Ujala occupy the fourth and fifth spot with AIR numbers of 9,962,000 and 8,891,000 respectively.

Lokmat, on the sixth position has and AIR 7,595,000 and The Times of India is on the seventh position with AIR of 7,471,000. Once again, TOI is the only English publication in the top 10 dailies.

Daily Thanthi has a readership of 7,290,000. All these publications have seen growth in AIR in this round from previous round.

Rajasthan Patrika and Mathrubhumi have both seen a drop in AIR and are at 6,941,000 and 6,690,000 readership numbers respectively.
