- Samudra Bhattacharya, CEO of Print and Radio at HT Media Ltd., has been appointed to the Board of Governors of the Media Research Users Council India (MRUCI).
- He joins three other new members: Janhavi Abhijit Pawar (Sakal Media Pvt. Ltd.), Kartik Sharma (Omnicom Media, India), and Navin Khemka (WPP Media South Asia).
- The MRUCI is focused on reviving the Indian Readership Survey (IRS) to establish a contemporary cross-media measurement framework.
- Bhattacharya has a background in senior leadership roles at Pepsi, including positions in the Philippines and India.
Samudra Bhattacharya, CEO – Print and Radio at HT Media Ltd., has been appointed to the Board of Governors of the Media Research Users Council India (MRUCI).
Bhattacharya is among four new members appointed to the board, alongside Janhavi Abhijit Pawar, Director, Sakal Media Pvt. Ltd.; Kartik Sharma, CEO, Omnicom Media, India; and Navin Khemka, President, Client Solutions, WPP Media South Asia.
The appointments come as MRUCI continues its work towards the revival of the Indian Readership Survey (IRS). The organisation said the new IRS will seek to provide a contemporary cross-media measurement framework covering evolving areas of media consumption.
Bhattacharya is CEO – Print at Hindustan Media Ventures Ltd. and also serves as CEO – Print at HT Media Ltd.
He has held senior leadership positions at Pepsi, as President, Executive Director & General Manager at Pepsi Cola Products Philippines, Inc. and Chief Operating Officer – Franchisee Bottling & Vice President at Pepsi Foods Pvt Ltd.
