DNA enters Madhya Pradesh with Indore edition
With its Indore edition, DNA claims to have reached to total print run of over 1 million copies. The paper is now gearing up to celebrate six years in the market.
English daily DNA (Daily News & Analysis) has entered Madhya Pradesh with the launch of its Indore edition on June 26, 2011. The newspaper has claimed to have circulation of over 20,000 copies across the city. From Monday to Saturday, the daily is priced at Rs 2, while on Sundays it is priced at Rs 2.50. The targeted circulation for DNA is around 20,000 copies.
Sandipan Sharma is the Editor of the Indore edition of DNA and is responsible for the daily content along with his team of journalists.
Commenting on the Indore launch, Gautam Dalal, VP - Marketing, DNA, said, “Indore represents the new frontiers that India is propelling towards growth all around. I am sure DNA will serve readers and advertisers well as it is in tune with their gung ho spirit.”
An official note from the group stated that since its launch in 2005, the daily had gone from strength to strength and with this edition it had now reached a total print run of over 1 million copies. DNA currently has editions in Pune, Bangalore, Jaipur, Ahmedabad, Surat and Mumbai.
DNA will be completing six years in just over a month’s time.
The group further stated that DNA Indore would be a premium product targeting the best and brightest of the city. The product will be a single-unit 16-pager, which will include local, national, world, business and sports. There will also be two pages of After Hrs – which will capture the spirit of Indore with its feature coverage. On Sundays, DNA will be a 20-page newspaper, including a four-page supplement of After Hrs.
