Bhate was leading Yahoo’s editorial team for the last 10 years.

His colleagues and industry peers mourned his loss.

“It’s always such a tough one to learn about the demise of your ex-colleague, and clearly it puts you in a different zone, going through memory lane of the times that you’ve been in together

Shishir Bhate, this was definitely not the time to go and it’s almost impossible to imagine that life can yet so cruel and snatch someone so young. For the hundreds of us who’ve worked at Rediff.com and known him for his editorial style, his simplistic style, his easy going attitude, his ability to always listen into the wierd requests across the #media sales teams and work across in on areas of content in those times when #contentmarketing wasn’t the norm and yet he and his teams were those were so understandable and created for such solutions and worked so well with our #brands

His editorial style was in-depth, insightful, he loved to get into the details and clearly it was a giant like Yahoo who understood his potential too where he then played a pivotal role in too.

A massive loss for our #digital industry and while we mourn the loss of a dear friend/ colleague/ peer it’s impossible to even think of what his family must be going through.”
