Amazon has said it plans to use AI to speed up the process of making movies and TV shows.
At the Amazon MGM Studio, Albert Cheng is leading a team to develop new AI tools that he said will cut costs and streamline the creative process, Reuters has reported.
Amazon plans to launch a closed beta program in March, inviting industry partners to test its AI tools. The company expects to have results to share by May, the news agency said.
Cheng has been reported as saying that the cost of "creating is so high" that it really is hard to make more and harder to take great risks.
As per reports, the AI tools will helping Amazon close the gap between existing AI technology and the specific needs of filmmakers. These tools are designed to improve character consistency across shots and integrate with industry-standard creative software, a report quoted Cheng.
