Wipro consolidates Consumer Care media duties with Lodestar UM
Apart from Santoor, Lodestar UM will now also handle Chandrika and Enchanteur range
Wipro has shifted major part of its Consumer Care media business to Lodestar UM following an extensive and exhaustive multi-agency pitch. Under the new arrangement, in addition to Santoor that consists over 70% of Wipro’s media spends, Lodestar UM will now also handle Chandrika and Enchanteur range of products.
The mandate for Lodestar UM is to further consolidate the market share of Santoor, the flagship brand of Wipro Consumer Care, across India.
Chandrika is now looking to expand its product portfolio and the mandate for Lodestar UM is to launch the new products with maximum impact. Chandrika was launched in 1940 by C R Kesavan Vaidyar, an Ayurvedic practitioner from Irinjalakuda, Kerala. Based on Chandrika’s potential to grow, Wipro acquired marketing rights for Chandrika in 2004.
Enchanteur, the female bath and body care brand, with products including perfumes, deodorants, bar soap, lotion, shower gel and others is looking to enter new markets. Lodestar UM’s mandate is to help the brand grow its market share.
