The first production of TIML, ‘Being Cyrus’, was released nationally on March 24 to rave reviews.
In keeping with the burgeoning entertainment economy, the Times Group, through Times Infotainment Media Ltd (TIML), has ventured into the space of movie production and endeavour to further strengthen its presence in media and entertainment industry.
The first production of TIML, ‘Being Cyrus’ (an English film directed and co-written by Homi Adajania), was released nationally on March 24, 2006 to rave reviews. The story is narrated by the protagonist, Cyrus, who himself sits at the brink of his dilemma of why life is the way it is. It is an intriguing psychological drama that journeys through mind-spaces and unravels itself as a quaint comedy.
The film has already received critical acclaim at international film festivals like International Film Festival (Lyon - France), South Asian International Film Festival (New York), and Film Festival of India (Israel).
To celebrate this new endeavour, the Times Group hosted a special screening of ‘Being Cyrus’ for key business associates in major metros over the weekend. Elaborating on this new initiative, Amitava Bhattacharya, Deputy General Manager, said, “The core philosophy of our group is joy, wellness, niceties of life… our other ventures like Radio Mirchi or Planet M are also in the genre of enjoying life.
