The Coca-Cola Company is reportedly reviewing its $4 billion US media account, and has shortlisted incumbent WPP and Publicis Groupe.
According to media reports, the account has been with WPP since 2021. The agency even established Open X, a dedicated team for the account.
This review comes at a pivotal time for WPP, which recently reported earnings below expectations and forecasted a potential revenue decline. The outcome of this Coca-Cola review could significantly impact the holding company's financial performance.
According to COMvergence, Coca-Cola’s 2024 U.S. media spend is valued at $785 million, up from $610 million in 2023. Coca-Cola reported net revenue of $47.1 billion in 2024, up 3% from the previous year, and it expects organic revenue growth of 5% to 6% in 2025.
