BARC Week 41: Amazon claims first spot in Top 10 Brands list
Online portals Flipkart and Trivago climbed to the second and fourth positions, respectively
In the list of BARC Top 10 Brands for Week 41 (October 6-12), Amazon stepped up to the top spot with 49,293 insertions. Flipkart too climbed up to the second spot with 18,763 insertions.
Santoor Sandal and Turmeric slipped to the third spot with 12,049 insertions. Trivago climbed to the fourth spot with 11,261 insertions.
Policybazaar.com entered the category at the fifth spot with 10,956 insertions. Dettol Toilet Soaps climbed to the sixth spot with 9,979 insertions.
Last week’s category leader Lizol slipped to the seventh spot with 9,979 insertions. Dettol Liquid Soap, Dr Ortho Oil and Capsule and Roop Mantra Ayur Face Cream took the eighth, ninth and tenth spots with 9,352, 9,082 and 8,961 insertions, respectively.
In the same week, in BARC Top 10 Advertisers list, FMCG brands Hindustan Lever and Reckitt Benckiser continued to lead at the top two spots with 1,11,221 and 94,500 insertions, respectively.
Amazon Online India also held on to its third spot with 68,228 insertions. ITC Ltd took the fourth spot with 34,756 insertions. Procter and Gamble India slipped to the fifth spot with 32,440 insertions.
Godrej Consumer Products settled at the sixth spot with 27,081 insertions. SBS Biotech slipped to the seventh spot with 24,907 insertions.
Cadburys India maintained its eighth spot with 24,624 insertions. Wipro stepped down to the ninth spot with 20,469 insertions. Smithkline Beecham entered the category after a brief hiatus at the tenth spot with 19,196 insertions.
