Tehelka & The Week receive IPI award in Journalism 2011

The International Press Institute (IPI), which will host the India Award for Excellence in Journalism, will give the IPI India Award for Excellence in Journalism, 2011 jointly to Tehelka and The Week.

This award will be given in an endeavour to acknowledge and encourage them in their outstanding journalistic work in 2011. Led by Tarun tejpal, Tehelka is an Indian weekly political magazine known for its expose style of journalism while the Week is published by The Malayala Manorama Co. Ltd.

The award will be honored to the publications by Smt. Ambika Soni, Minister of Information and Broadcasting. This industry event will be presided over by Dr. A S Anand, Former Chief Justice of India and Former Chairman, National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) and this event will be held at the WWF Auditorium in New Delhi.

For the record, IPI - India is an active forum of editors, publishers and senior executives of newspapers, magazines and news agencies committed to promotion of free exchange of accurate and balanced news among nations.
