Some things in life are just worth doing…

There are many that follow in other people’s footsteps, hence lead a blander life. While, there are the some who follow their heart, take risks and follow their passion. They are known as game changers and they create a ripple, hence disturbing the balance in the environment.

Dewar’s in association with the Times of India launched The Dewarists at the Garden of Five Senses on Tuesday, November 23 which truly believes in this philosophy. They launched the initiative with DubFX and a jam session of six of India’s leading guitarists including Ehsaan Noorani, Rudy Wallang, Warren Mendonsa, Bruce Lee Mani, Amyt Datta and Sanjay Divecha.

The Dewarists embodies the Dewar’s philosophy that some things are just worth doing. A select panel of Dewarists including Ehsaan Noorani, Subir Malik and Usha Uthup will identify young, prodigious talents who live by their beliefs and follow their dreams. Through unprecedented collaborations, Dewar’s will promote them and give them the opportunity to share the stage with some of the most talented musicians from India and around the world, thus celebrating their choice to do what they believe in.

Arvind Krishnan, GM Marketing, Bacardi India Pvt Ltd said about the movement, “In a world cluttered with noise, Dewar's believes in encouraging people to do what they believe in - The Dewarists is a movement that provides people a platform that brings this belief alive. Over the next few months we will bring forward never before seen collaborations of Dewarists in music. We believe this movement will introduce paradigms and thrill audiences across the world.”

Ehsaan Noorani said, “Music is my passion and my life. It is always my constant endeavour to chart new territories to do exactly that. Here we will collaborate with the very best musicians in the country and perhaps together reach new heights of achievement. The Dewarists is an effort that I am thrilled to be part of.”

Following the launch was a city wise ‘The Dewarists’ concert, featuring one of the world’s best beat boxers, DubFX and one of India’s leading Sarangi players, Sabir Khan who shared the stage together for the first time. They created created magic in the cities of Hyderabad, Bangalore and Delhi. They will be touring Mumbai and Kolkatta on December 2nd and 3rd respectively.

Benjamin Stanford of DubFX said, “I am thrilled to be a part of the Dewarists as it promotes and celebrates individuals who have followed their unique style of music and hence their passion. Beatboxing is my style of music which has given me immense happiness over the years and have realized that some things are just worth doing”.

Adding on, Sabir Khan said, “Music has always been my passion and my life. It is a constant endeavour of mine to orchestrate innovative blends of music. The Dewarists gives artists like me the opportunity to collaborate with the very best musicians in the country and across the globe. The Dewarists is a celebration that I am eleated to be part off”.
