Global luggage brand Samsonite has gone live on the e-commerce platform. Every single bag that is available in the market is now available online for purchase on the Samsonite website.
As is the trend today, approximately one third of Samsonite’s customers make online purchases from websites which offer them diversity in product variants. Seeing this growth, the category leader decided to be present in this new platform of e-commerce set up through its brand website www.samsoniteindia.com.

Online shopping is the next generation shopping. According to a report released by IMRB and IAMAI, India’s e-commerce market was worth about $9.3 billion in 2011, growing by 47 per cent over last year. India has close to 10 million online shoppers and is growing at an estimated 30 per cent CAGR vis-à-vis a global growth rate of 8-10 per cent.
Samsonite currently has provided facility for debit and credit card for purchasing the products, an operational call centre, and within a month’s time will also start cash on delivery.
