NewsX to reach 20 million via FAMS
NewsX enters into a two year distribution deal with Fifth Avenue Media Services Private Limited (FAMS) to expand viewer network across India. The partnership will enable NewsX to be received by an estimated 20 million Homes in the key markets.

NewsX, India’s only HDTV-ready English news channel has entered into a two year distribution deal with Fifth Avenue Media Services Private Limited (FAMS). Under the agreement, FAMS with its extensive expertise in consulting and assisting broadcasters, will provide the requisite support to the channel by placing the channel across India and expanding its viewer network
Fifth Avenue Media Services Pvt Ltd (FAMS), was Co- Founded in 2003 by two Distribution and Satellite TV veterans, Achal Mehra and Gaurav Kohli. Mr Ravi Gupta, a leading MSO of New Delhi and a Director in FAMS brings in understanding of Network Management and digitalization. FAMS consults and assists the broadcasters in areas of Regulatory Liaising, Channel Launch, Placement, Monitoring and Knowledge transfer.
With the renewed thrust on distribution, NewsX is all set to provide substantial value to its audiences by further focusing on key channel objectives. NewsX’s strategy is to adopt a three pronged approach split into phases to be rolled out in the next three quarters. NewsX will kick-start the first phase of its plan by targeting six Metros, shifting focus to various important one million plus markets in the second phase and then targeting key 0.1 to 1 Million markets in the third phase.

The partnership will enable NewsX to be received by an estimated 20 million homes in the key markets. To further strengthen its position NewsX also plans to take up various trade-marketing initiatives to engage the cable fraternity.
