ING Vysya appoints Vinu Lal as Head of Corporate Communications
Bringing to the table his extensive experience spanning 15 years in financial journalism with leading publications, Vinu Lal’s mandate is to improve brand visibility across the board.

Vinu Lal, who has worked with several titles in financial journalism, has been appointed as Head-Corporate Communications for ING Vysya Bank. Prior to this, he was Senior Assistant Editor, Economic Times in Bangalore. His responsibility in ING Vysya Bank would be to increase the banks’ profile through effective communication strategies as well as of the ING Vysya Foundation. In his new role, he will be reporting to Sonalee Panda, Head-Marketing, ING Vysya Bank.
Vinu has close to 15 years’ experience in publications such as The Times of India, Indian Express, and The Economic Times. He had earlier held the role of Head of India Coverage for the London-based Financial Times Group’s news agency Mergermarket for around 5 years, primarily reporting on corporate strategies and mergers & acquisitions in the technology and infrastructure segments. Having begun his professional career in Mumbai, where he spent over 7 years, before moving to Bangalore, Vinu has reported extensively on the financial services sector covering mutual funds and the stock markets.
Vinu is a Masters in English from Gandhigram Rural Institute in Tamil Nadu and has done executive education from various institutes including the Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore.
