India’s first matrimonial channel Shagun TV to launch on April 26

Vertent Media is launching India’s first matrimonial channel, Shagun TV, on April 26, 2013.  The 24-hour channel will be aired across North and West India. The channel will be distributed through all DTH and digital networks.

The channel has been conceptualised, conceived and promoted by media professional Anuranjan Jha. Speaking on the new channel, Jha elaborated, “I had conceived this idea eight years back and have been working on it. Now we are ready with India’s first matrimonial channel and are going to launch it on all DTH and digital networks. The shows are very unique and exciting to all matrimonial related matters, whether it’s astrology, shopping or honeymoon travel planning.”

Shagun TV will bring in a rich programming mix from across India, which will feature pre-nuptial and post-nuptial programmes, issues, relevant information and share the happiness around it. The channel shall feature shows related to wedding, astrology, relationships, and shopping, such as ‘Toh Baat Pakki’, ‘Gold n Beautiful’, ‘Janam Janam ka saath, and ‘Kundali Bol’, among others.

Along with the channel, Shagun’s matrimonial website is also being launched. The website will be a one-stop destination to find a perfect life-partner and plan one’s wedding. One can also shop for everything related to a wedding ceremony.
