GoQuest Media invites applications for Legal Executive role

GoQuest Media Ventures has issued a formal legal notice inviting applications for the role of Legal Executive. The Mumbai-headquartered media firm, which operates across 80+ countries, is seeking a legal professional to support a wide spectrum of functions—from content licensing and production agreements to cross-border transactions and deal execution.

The notice regarding this has been shared by Managing Director Vivek Lath in a LinkedIn post.

The notice stated:

The Candidate shall, inter alia, draft, review, negotiate, and advise on content distribution and licensing agreements, production agreements, author agreements, and service contracts; support the structuring and execution of international content acquisition and sales transactions; coordinate with external counsel in connection with litigation matters; undertake legal due diligence with respect to prospective partnerships and business opportunities; assist finance and business affairs teams on deal structuring and execution; manage DocuSign and related electronic signature workflows; and maintain a centralized contract repository, including, without limitation, the tracking of key dates, obligations, renewals, and milestones.

The Candidate should possess an LLB or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution, with an LLM being desirable but not a condition precedent; 1–2 years of experience in a law firm or in-house legal role; at least 1 year of hands-on work on media and entertainment contracts; a working knowledge of contract law and intellectual property law; familiarity with international content distribution or broadcasting agreements; and strong drafting, negotiation, communication, and document management skills.

For the avoidance of doubt, the Company uses AI tools in connection with legal drafting and review. Prior experience with such tools is not mandatory; notwithstanding the foregoing, a willingness to learn and work with such tools will be viewed favorably.
