Flintobox rolls out initiative to educate kids about saving water

Flintobox, one of the key offerings of Flinto Learning Solutions, has rolled out a social initiative ‘Flinto Change-Makers’. The initiative is built with a strong intent to raise a generation of kids that is empathetic, socially responsible and which works towards creating a sustainable world for everyone to live in.  

Amidst rising concerns towards climate change and water crisis, this initiative is aimed to save up to 90 billion litres of water in a year, if every child from 6 lakh+ Flinto family uses it. 

According to the Composite Water Management Index (CWMI) report released by the Niti Aayog in 2018, 21 cities (Delhi, Bengaluru, Chennai, Hyderabad and others) are racing to reach zero groundwater levels by 2020, affecting access for 100 million people. The generation ahead needs to be apprised and taught about environmental sustainability and water conservation. Flintobox aims to inculcate awareness on water conservation in both parents and kids. 

Speaking on this initiative, Arunprasad Durairaj - CEO & Co-Founder, Flinto Learning Solutions, said: “Water crisis is an erupting issue and we as organisations need to awaken the next generations towards creating sustainable solutions.”

“We have always put children at the heart of our company. Now, we want to put ‘social concern’ at the heart of our children. For this, we are transforming complex ideas into fun and interactive games for the kids to learn, play and change the world for the better. This game will develop a sense of social responsibility and empathy in them through positive reinforcement,” he added. 

As part of the initiative, Flinto Early Learning Research Foundation has designed a 21-day water saving game to evoke a sense of water conservation among children using simple and easy-to-follow water-saving hacks. This is a complementary activity in Flintobox’s August subscription for children.

Flintobox is also calling for a pledge to save water through its initiative and via the website.
