Alfresco appoints Doug Dennerline as new CEO
The seasoned enterprise cloud veteran will lead Alfresco’s next stage of growth. He moves from SuccessFactors, where he was President
Alfresco, the open platform for business-critical content management and collaboration, has appointed former SuccessFactors President Doug Dennerline as CEO. Dennerline will lead the company through its next phase of expansion, driving business strategy and operations to capitalise on the rapidly growing content management market.
“We have come to a unique intersection as a company and I couldn’t be happier to welcome Doug to Alfresco. The best future for Alfresco, its employees, customers and investors is to continue to grow and to ultimately pursue an IPO in the US markets,” said John Powell, former CEO and co-founder of Alfresco. “I’m confident that Doug’s experience and impressive enterprise cloud success will take Alfresco through this next phase of growth.”
A 25-year veteran of some of Silicon Valley’s best, Dennerline was most recently President of SuccessFactors, Inc. until its acquisition in 2012 by SAP for $3.4 billion. Before joining SuccessFactors, he was Executive Vice President of Enterprise Sales for Americas at Salesforce.com. Previously, he was the Chief Executive of the Webex division of Cisco.
On joining Alfresco, Dennerline said, “In seven short years, John and the Alfresco team have created a world-class technology company that, through the power of its open-source model, has completely disrupted the enterprise content space. We are at the very beginning of the enterprise shift to cloud and mobile, making Alfresco perfectly positioned to lead that shift.”
Dennerline will be joining the Alfresco board of directors along with his new role as CEO, and Alfresco also plans to expand its presence in San Francisco in 2013.For more updates, be socially connected with us on
