9XM launches ad free Freedom Parade
To appeal to its viewers, Hindi music channel 9XM has done certain innovations such as ‘Mitti Ke Lal’, a line-up which will provide the viewers a chance to guess facts about the country.
Hindi music channel 9XM will go desi this Independence Day. The initiative called Freedom Parade - Ads se azaadi, will air four hours of music and animated episodes, without any ad breaks. While this band (8.30 am to 12 pm) is anyway ad free, for this day specifically, 9XM has partnered with Samsung. The channel will also have a new look for the day with its tricolored logo.
Talking about the Samsung-9XM initiative, Pawan Jailkhani, EVP, Sales, 9X Media, said that this decision to go ‘desi’ is in line with the innovations the channel has done in the past. He added that, “This is a great strategy for both the parties involved as we have had good relationship in the past which has commercial viability as well.”
Speaking of the line-up for Independence Day, Amar Tidke, Head of Programming, 9XM, said, “The channel which has entertained the viewers with its witty animated characters and the latest Bollywood music will now celebrate Independence day in the true 9XM spirit. The channel will present the viewers a chance to join the Freedom Parade and enjoy four full hours of back to back Bollywood music without any ad breaks.”
Along with the Freedom Parade, the channel will also feature interactive initiative such as Mitti Ke Lal, a lineup which will provide the viewers a chance to guess facts about the country and the legends that have made the country proud.
The channel will also have a daylong ticker called ‘Only in India’ which will state the unique and strange realities of India.
