5 finalists announced for Dainik Bhaskar’s ‘Crack the Case’
The five shortlisted teams for the final round include one each from Maxus, IMRB International and XLRI, and two teams from IIM Bangalore
With the final round of ‘Crack the Case’ contest just two days away, Dainik Bhaskar Group is all set to welcome the five finalist teams. The five shortlisted teams for the final round include one each from Maxus, IMRB International and XLRI, and two teams from IIM Bangalore.
This is the first time the group has created this opportunity for management students and the industry to provide solutions. The case study received over 340 registrations for the contest across organisations such as Maxus, Rediffusion, Deloitte, Network18 Media, O&M, IMRB, Titan, and HDFC, as well as from top B-schools such as XLRI, IIM Bangalore and Kolkata.
Commenting on this venture, Sanjeev Kotnala, VP, Dainik Bhaskar Group said, “It was a difficult task to shortlist five from the lot, we found that a lot of entries have really made efforts to understand the business nuances of the newspaper and have used secondary data beyond what was provided in the case. The final five made the cut after lot of debate within the Round 1 Jury. The jury placed extra focus on the logic and process of arriving at the decision than on the decision and presentation style.”
In the final round, participants will have 20 minutes to present their solution in Mumbai on October 31 to a jury which includes Prof Seema Gupta from IIM Bangalore.
‘Crack the case’ is a contest of Dainik Bhaskar Group where participants are asked to suggest ‘which new territory should Dainik Bhaskar Group address next’, based on the case study by IIM Bangalore, titled ‘Aspiring Growth’ – focusing on the Maharashtra success of the Dainik Bhaskar Group. For more updates, be socially connected with us on
