Zapak forays into social media solutions; launches ‘Zapak Social Connect’

Zapak forays into social media solutions; launches ‘Zapak Social Connect’

Zapak Digital Entertainment Ltd, known as India’s largest online gaming company, has announced the launch of ‘Zapak Social Connect’, which will offer social media solutions to brands. This initiative will be headed by Charles Theodore.

In an email interaction with exchange4media, Arun Mehra, COO, Zapak Digital Entertainment Ltd, said, “Zapak Social Connect would envisage engagement through interactive apps on Facebook, Orkut, etc., branding through blogs, micro blogs like Twitter, Wiki and other video/ photo sharing websites.”

When asked whether it would be on similar lines with Rediff MyPage, Mehra replied, “Rediff’s MyPage is more of a social networking plugin, whereas Zapak Social Connect offers social media marketing solutions to clients.”

Well-known brands like Axe, NDTV, Mahindra & Mahindra, and USL - White Mischief have already availed of Zapak’s social media marketing offerings. Mehra added, “In addition to the various clients, Zapak Social Connect has also done social media marketing for the movies ‘3 Idiots’ and ‘Kites’ and celebrities like Hrithik Roshan. We’ve had a huge response and are in talks with some renowned brands.”

Besides being the largest gaming destination in India, Zapak is also one of the biggest publishers of social games on social networks.
