At the grand finale of IDMA 2013, Roopak Saluja, Founder & CEO, The 120 Media Collective expressed that the digital industry in India now is at a tipping point. With the technological boost, increasing consumption of video content and arrival of smartphones, India will soon be one of the best digital markets in the world.
Saluja explained that video content revolution, along with the arrival of 4G in the next few years, will change the digital space radically. Also, mobile handsets are to receive much more empowerment and thus, they will be a boost in digital marketing soon. Saluja predicted that digital spends will see a northward trend soon.
Saluja was part of the advisory board of the Indian Digital Marketing Awards (IDMA) 2013 and was impressed by the quality of entries. At the grand finale, Saluja expressed that it was a smart move to get an advisory board in place, because external forces with different perspectives kept all the decisions “extremely fair”.
