Time Out magazine is expanding its digital presence with a new website, which will be launched in the first week of December. The plan is to consolidate Time Out Mumbai, Time Out Bangalore and Time Out Delhi on one digital platform.

Time Out magazine is expanding its digital presence with a new website, Time Out India, which will be launched in the first week of December and will generate the same content as the magazine. The plan is to consolidate Time Out Mumbai, Time Out Bangalore and Time Out Delhi on one digital platform.
“We will take the content of the magazine in the same form and tone and put it up on the web,” said Nydia Dias, Marketing Head, Paprika Media. She added, “Once the site is launched, we will have tabs for Time Out Mumbai, Time Out Bangalore and Time Out Delhi.”
The primary goal of Time Out India is to promote the Time Out brand over the web. “We want to promote Time Out as one brand and we want to let our advertisers known about the magazine’s presence in Mumbai, Delhi and Bangalore, besides our national presence across cities in India through our events,” Dias further said.
The website will also feature contests, competitions, events and so on, besides integrating the Facebook, Twitter and YouTube pages of the magazine.
The next step will be to market the magazine through events and create an app for generating the Time Out India content on mobile phones.
The magazine is also on the lookout to create Time Out digital edition for new cities, but that will happen only next year. “We will be focusing on city-led content for new cities in future,” Dias informed.
UK’s Time Out magazine allows transaction with restaurants and theatres of which the magazine keeps a percentage. When asked about their plans for the same in India, Dias said that they would be considering it in the future. They have, however, established connections with over 1,000 restaurants through Time Out Food Awards.
