Songdew launches interactive music programmes Songdew Experiences
The line-up includes bands and artists such as Annamika, Neeraj Arya’s Kabir Café, Astitva, Fiddlecraft, EPR and The Tapi Project
This season, Songdew unveils its latest project – Songdew Experiences. Songdew
Experiences is a live music show which not only promises viewers an outstanding interactive LIVE performance by some fabulous artists but also brings to them a unique LIVE experience of a formatted show.
"Each experience under the brand is a well-formatted, storyboarded show which would give its viewers a once in a lifetime experience. Some of the formats include Preview Sessions: the show is built around the reveal of a new track, Rewind: a musical show to celebrate some of the biggest independent albums of the industry, Naughty Nites and Meet The Music," the company said.
Sunil Khanna, Founder, Songdew and Songdew TV, said “With live shows coming to a halt and affecting the livelihoods of the entire independent music community, we knew we had to do something to create monetising opportunities for artists. While working on various concepts, we attended several live events and realised that the experience for a viewer is not one to remember, which is when we decided to go in depth. Over the last few months, our programming team has worked tirelessly to create these shows. For viewers, it is going to be like watching a TV show bringing their favourite artists closer to them.
The idea is to bring in outstanding artists, interactive performances and TV formats together on one platform. We are in essence creating live TV shows on Zoom".
The first event is scheduled to take place on the 27th of June with the 90s Pop Star, Annamika. The Kahin Koi Karta Hoga girl exclaimed, “It's exhilarating to be a part of this amazing initiative. I am looking forward to connecting with my fans through this unique concept. It is just not another live gig. The show has been designed to give viewers a very unique experience. And it has been very exciting to work with the team on the concept and bring it to life.”
Salman Khan Niazi, the lead vocalist of Astitva, a New Delhi based Pop-Rock band said, “We are very excited to be a part of this initiative. We loved how the team has re-invented live gigs and added something different to it. I think it will be something that our fans and listeners would look forward to. Also, it is a great way to create monetizing opportunities for artists during this pandemic with live gigs coming to a halt”.
