Goa Tourism Development Corporation has appointed GoaChronicle.com as its online media partner to promote the International Travel Mart 2010, which is to be held on October 14-17. Launched recently by Kaydence Media Ventures, GoaChronicle.com is an online line mall of news, information, communication and services.
As part of its alliance, GoaChronicle.com will provide participants of ITM-Goa exhibition free logo advertisement space and content space on a specially designed domain and also have hourly updates of the news, interviews and feedback during the event. It will also be promoting ITM-Goa through its Facebook ad space as well.
Speaking on the tie-up, Savio Rodrigues, Managing Director, Kaydence Media Ventures, said, “The International Travel Mart is a concept that has been under deliberations within the Government for some time now. It is an ideal platform for marketers and customers to meet and discuss matters of mutual interest. More importantly, Goa continues to be a sought after destination in the international and domestic market from a tourism perspective; an activity such as this will only assist in boosting the tourism business potential of the state. Our aim has been to make Goa known globally and we will continue to partner with the Government on any such endeavours that promote the true value of Goa.”
Through ITM, the Government aims to provide greater mileage to the tourism fraternity. Though Goa is already a prime holiday destination, it aims to provide an opportunity for the tourism industry in India as a whole to reinforce business contacts and establish new ones. “We believe, it will be a perfect time for people in the hospitality business to identify and attract even more potential customers,” said Nikhil Desai, Managing Director, Goa Tourism Development Corporation.
