FreeCharge ties up with Jaipur Literature Festival for first cashless edition of event
Partnerships with retail chains, raising money from Jasper Infotech and now association with Zee Jaipur Literature Festival, 2017 has started off with a bang for digital wallet FreeCharge
The year 2017 has started off on a positive note for digital payment platform FreeCharge. The latter has tied up with Zee Jaipur Literature Festival to be its exclusive wallet partner to smoothen transactions at the event. The intention was to provide a swift and secure way to make cashless payments during the festival this year.
FreeCharge will partner with all the vendors of Jaipur Literature Festival (JLF) vendors across books, food and beverage, merchandise and stationery categories for payments, coupled with daily exciting offers.

Earlier this month, Jasper Infotech, Snapdeal’s parent company has reported to put in Rs 390 crore into the digital wallet. According to media reports, global payments platform PayPal Holdings Inc. was in final stages of closing a deal to take a 25 percent stake in FreeCharge.
January also saw the digital payment platform entering into couple of partnerships. On January 6 FreeCharge had announced its partnership with Twenty Four Seven, a leading 'round-the-clock' convenience-format-retail-chain which has over 45 outlets in Delhi NCR region. With this partnership, the consumers of digital payment platform can pay for more than 3500 products and services at every Twenty Four Seven store using their FreeCharge wallet. On January 3 it tied up with Grofers to offer cashless grocery purchase for its customers and has tie-ups with retail chains like HyperCity, Heritage Fresh, M.K. Retail and now Twenty Four Seven gaining its foothold in the category.
Founded in 2010 by Kunal Shah and Sandeep Tandon, FreeCharge was acquired by Snapdeal in 2015. FreeCharge has now become a key area to Jasper’s business.For more updates, be socially connected with us on
