Catch up to HTML 5 at the Mobile Monday conference on Jan 8, 2011
The 11th Mobile Monday conference is taking place in January 2011 on the subject of HTML 5, and a series of talks on a number of subjects relating to digital standards, along with demos of new technology developments, will be showcased by innovators inside the industry.
Mobile Monday Delhi will be holding its 11th meet-up on January 8, 2011, in Noida. The meet will be on the subject of HTML 5, and will be sponsored by the very company that is on the frontline of the HTML 5 debate – Adobe, who are also the hosts for the meet.
Those interested should visit the website [momodelhi11.eventbrite.com] to register to be part of a discussion that will involve speakers from Adobe, Netscape, Google and Opera. The meet will start with a keynote address by Senior Director of Engineering for Adobe, Lekh Raj Sharma, and will include talks on HTML 5, along with demos on cloud assisted mobile computing by technology experts from Adobe, Mobble, Opera, Radbox, Google and Xebia, to name a few.
As anyone who is interested in mobile developments knows, the year 2010 has been a turbulent year for Adobe’s Flash platform, as Apple refuses to support its use for the iPhone and iPad, citing stability, security and performance issues, and is instead supporting the still evolving HTML 5 format, which can be used to perform many of the functions that Flash is now used for, including delivering online browser games and interactive video content. This lack of support, in fact, is what drove early adoption of apps by third party developers, for whom the Safari web browser on iOS devices posed a serious limitation.
