While his job keeps him quite busy with numbers, revenue, partnerships and profits, Akshay Mathur, Chief Revenue Officer at Tyroo, sure knows how to have fun on weekends and plan holidays well in advance. This week on Chillout we at exchange4media caught up with him to find out how he loves to balance his holidays with staycations, some full of adventure, and a few cultural ones which involve peaceful strolls around the city he is in. A doting father, he makes sure to spend some quality time with his kids even on hectic days. On weekends, he likes to take them out to parks, malls and play areas. Mathur also talks to us about his passion for collecting some of the finest whiskeys in the world. He says, “Every time I visit a duty free store at the airport, i feel like a kid in a candy shop.”

Read along to know more about his idea of a perfect weekend:

On a typical weekend you will find me... Chilling with family, watching a movie or throwing a house party for friends.

My idea of relaxing is... Traveling without an agenda - visit a beach resort, relax in the pool, get into a spa, spend the evenings next to the sea sipping a couple of Budweiser's.

One vice I cannot do without... My addiction to the mobile. e-mails, reading blogs and work take up most of my time.

I love a Staycation/adventure... I love staycations for short trips and adventure holidays for longer and interesting places.

I confess, I am a... big fan of Bryan Adams, still.

I spend me-time on...  watching TV shows, movies and series. Give me a day alone at home and I can watch movies non-stop. I love the old rom-coms, action and classic comedy movies.

The last show I binge watched... GOT, Suits and the classics like Two and a Half Men, HIMYM, The 70's Show and Friends.

I can make a mean... Unfortunately I wouldn't survive too long on Maggi and Chai-Toast. That's all I know.

A skill/hobby I want to learn this year... I seriously want to learn to play the guitar this year.

My next vacation/adventure will be ... US, West Coast.
