Cannes Lions 2018: India bags 3 Bronze Lions on Day 2

Creativeland Asia, Grey India and McCann Worldgroup India win a bronze each in Outdoor and Print&Publishing Lions

After opening with a bang on Day 1, India’s Day 2 performance was down a few notches at the French Riviera, bagging only three bronze Lions across two categories - Outdoor and Print&Publishing Lions at the 65th Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity.

In the Outdoor Lions category where India bagged four shortlists, agencies won two bronze Lions in all. Creativeland Asia’s creatives titled Madhubani, Pattachitra, Warli for Mercedes Benz India won a bronze Lion. In the same category Grey India’s The Health Purse (Sehat Ka Batua) for Mahindra Rise also secured a bronze Lion. 

Speaking on the win, Sandipan Bhattacharyya, Chief Creative Officer, GREY Group India, said, "It’s brilliant to see our work for Mahindra Rise winning at Cannes. It’s a testimony to the fact that over the last two years, we have been completely rebuilding the creative foundations of Grey India and now have some of the most talented creative guys in the industry. Hope the week ends with even bigger wins."

McCann India’s Five Status Words campaign for Harpic that showed the harmful effects of open defecation has bagged a bronze in Print and Publishing Lions.

Entries shortlisted in Mobile and Design Lions did not get converted into awards.
