Shuchi Shukla, Editor of Newsroom Operations at HT Digital, has joined Opoyi as its Managing Editor. Opoyi is a new-age media firm started by former HT Digital CEO Rajiv Bansal and ex-Chief Content Officer, HT Digital Streams, Nilanjana Bhaduri Jha.

Shukla has spent the last few years leading operations at some of India's top media houses, including NDTV, Times of India and Hindustan Times. She has also previously driven content for MSN's global platforms.

Shukla was seen as a key member of the team that led the transformation at Mint, which has grown more than 10X over the last year.

Confirming the news, Rajiv Bansal said: “We're very excited to have Shuchi join us in executing Opoyi's mission to democratise availability and creation of information across the world.”

Nilanjana Bhaduri Jha said: “Shuchi has been a critical operations leader for my teams going back several years. As Opoyi gears itself for launch over the next few months, she will be a key addition to our leadership team.”

As reported on exchange4media last year, Opoyi was announced last year with the aim of building the world's most trusted platform for information, bringing to users reliable and accurate content. Since then Nilanjana, Rajiv and the Opoyi team have been at work building out their core technology stack and are now starting to build out their content operations.
