Facebook has roped in Steve Coll to head its Creative Shop, media reports said.

Coll joins Facebook after his stint as ECD with Havas and Droga5, and Creative Partner at With Collective.

The Creative Shop is meant to help marketers and agencies.

Coll will be creating campaigns to utilise Facebook and Instagram’s social environments thus giving brands and the opportunity to connect with people globally and expand their business via Facebook.

Facebook Managing Director Will Easton was quoted as saying, “He is a key contributor to the wider industry and has an infectious enthusiasm about how technology and creativity can co-exist to deliver meaningful outcomes. With the pace and scale of innovation there has never been a more important time for Facebook to collaborate with our creative community.”

On his appointment Coll said, “It’s rare to get an opportunity to do something completely different at work. So naturally, after 20-plus years in creative agencies, including a wonderful four years at With Collective, I’m incredibly excited to join Facebook. I can’t wait to start work with Will and the team.”
